only sleep eases pain
pain defines.
joy, happiness, collusion
love even distrust,
having dreams, night terrors, delusions.
all are unknown in entirety.
“how perfectly goddamned delightful it is
to be sure.”
every moments considered
length is by pains
varying degree.

sleep that knits the cares–I think Hamlet said that, though Shakespeare. Yup, you're right.

I grew up in Elmhurst, used to stare down the tracks at what I thought was variously a watch factory or an Ovaltine factory.

Sleep is the one part of my day where I am nothing, and I like feeling/being nothing for a few brief hours..

    great poem.

We may never be sure about time; about how long the meds will hold out, but we'll always be sure that we've been strong enough to make it this far. I know we'll be strong enough to make it to the next bend, and that's all we have to worry about. Just get to the next bend; the next fork in the road…
