Amazing take on the prompt. It is really interesting that Fireblossom mentioned Eve in her poem. Adam and/or Eve would not be the usual impression to come from looking at a snow scene, but then neither of you are the usual poets!

You see what we wish we could see but do not have the “plow” to bore through the clutter.. Your take on this prompt is nothing short of extraordinary…

It didn't occur to me at the time, but as soon as I read the first line, all I could think was “yes.”

Wish it was longer. Fantastic work.

A door can be so many things,
a portal, safety, sanctuary, lockout,
home, garish, ugly, purple,
but an affront is something new,
something dredged from a dark
place, or not, if you are like the
bird trapped as the door slammed
behind you, or Jim Bridger needing
the music of the mountains before
he could slumber and dream.
Excellent poetics, existential and
biblical, moral and philosophic. -
Oh, but He opened a window!

Love this take on the prompt!

your poetry is….i can't even articulate.
i'm left thinking about it all day.
yes, more would be lovely, but not having it, makes it even better. but of course, you knew that. 😉
